Guildford Spectrum's ice rink is one of the few year-round indoor skating venues in the South East. The Olympic-sized pad sits inside the main Spectrum leisure complex on Parkway in Guildford and runs public sessions throughout the week, making it accessible during school holidays, weekends and term time. The rink also hosts the Guildford Flames ice hockey team and runs structured Learn to Skate courses for children from beginner level upwards.
What Your Child Will Do
Skate on a full Olympic-sized ice pad with room to build confidence away from the boards. Join a guided Skate for All session that runs daily across multiple time slots. Progress to faster general sessions as ability and confidence build. Watch Guildford Flames matches from rinkside seating if visiting on a game night.
Practical Information
Skate hire is included in the session price. Bring thick socks as skate boots can be cold and rigid for smaller feet. Sessions run across morning, afternoon, teatime and evening slots, most of which require advance booking online through the Guildford Spectrum website. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult on the ice at all times. Pushchairs and rinkside seating are available so non-skating family members can watch. The car park at Spectrum is large and includes accessible bays. Check the timetable before visiting as popular weekend sessions sell out.
Facilities
Olympic-sized indoor ice rink. Skate hire on site. Changing rooms and lockers. Cafe inside the Spectrum complex. Accessible entrance and parking. Toilets throughout the building.
