1st Witley Scout Group is a vibrant community hub for children aged 6 to 14, located in Witley, Surrey. It's a fantastic place for kids to join in on outdoor adventures, make friends, and learn essential skills. With Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts all under one roof, children can progress through the ranks as they grow older. The sessions are run at Jubilee Hall, where loads of fun activities take place. Beavers currently runs on Tuesday evenings, Cubs on Thursdays, and Scouts on Fridays. There's a lovely mix of excitement and camaraderie that keeps kids coming back for more.
But, it's important to note that the Beavers section is temporarily closed for now due to a shortage of leaders. They plan to relaunch in November 2025, so if you've got a knack for leadership and a heart for helping kids, they're keen to hear from you. It's a lovely community, and many parents start as helpers, eventually becoming leaders themselves.
The programmes at 1st Witley Scout Group are packed with activities that spark imagination and teamwork. Beavers (ages 6 - 8) focus on fun games and basic skills. Cubs (ages 8 - 10) take it a step further with more challenging activities that include outdoor adventures and crafts. Scouts (ages 10 - 14) dive into even more exciting experiences like overnight camps and local explorations during the lighter evenings. The team is made up of enthusiastic volunteers who help ensure the kids learn while having a blast!
They also have a woodland campsite nearby, where all sorts of brilliant outdoor activities can take place. Although the hall is modern and purpose-built, sometimes the kids are out enjoying nature, which is a lovely touch. Just be prepared for the possibility of weather changes, as outdoor fun can be a bit of a gamble.

Sessions for Beavers run on Tuesdays from 5:30 - 6:30 PM, Cubs on Thursdays from 6:30 - 8:00 PM, and Scouts on Fridays from 7:00 - 8:30 PM.
