This hillside area boasts lovely woodland and meadows, alongside a charming 18th-century tower that offers unbeatable sights of London and the South Downs. It's a real gem in the Surrey Hills; the highest point in southeast England, so you can expect some remarkable vistas. The atmosphere is peaceful, perfect for a family outing or a quiet stroll to recharge your batteries.
The walk up to the tower is easy enough for little legs, taking about 20 minutes from the parking area. Once at the top, the views are nothing short of spectacular. You can even spot Gatwick Airport from up there! And if you're lucky enough to visit when the tower is open, you'll be treated to even more breathtaking panoramas. Just be mindful that it's only open from Friday to Sunday between April and October.
Leith Hill is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a lovely day out with the kids. It's a brilliant way to get everyone outside, enjoying nature, and taking in some of the best views Surrey has to offer!
