Rainy-day plan: soft play, trampolines and indoor activity centres
Half term is the week most Surrey soft plays run their busiest sessions of the year, so book as soon as slots open. All the venues below take pre-booked timed entry and most are turning walk-ins away by mid-morning during half term itself.
Gym Jams Soft Play on Slyfield Industrial Estate in Guildford is a good pick for families with children up to about age eight. The main frame has climbing sections, slides and tunnels, with a separate under-3s area and a small cafe. Parents and carers watch from seating along the edge. Weekend and half-term morning sessions sell out first.
AirHop Adventure & Trampoline Park Guildford covers the older end of the age range, roughly 5-14. Sessions are typically 60 minutes on the trampolines, dodgeball courts and foam pits, with a separate ninja course session bookable on top. Grip socks are compulsory (buy on arrival if you forget). Parking is on the retail park itself, so no faff.
Camberley and Esher have their own AirHop sites: Jump In by AirHop Camberley is off the A331 with plenty of parking, and Jump In by AirHop Esher is a good option for families in the Elmbridge and Kingston area. Both run mini-jumper sessions for under-5s at quieter mid-morning times.
360 Play Farnborough is a large all-under-one-roof indoor entertainment centre that works well for families with a wide age spread.
