Every ticket includes all three, so nothing is upsold once you are through the gate.

The farm side is a working small-holding, not a petting zoo. Godstone says it has over 500 animals, and the trail moves you through pigs, goats, sheep, alpacas, chickens, the reptile house and the rabbit walk. There is a pond walk and a Dinosaur Roar discovery trail woven in. Feed bags cost £2 each or two for £3, and the animal interaction sessions are scheduled through the day rather than running constantly.

For older primary children who have outgrown pure play, the reptile house is the anchor. Godstone keeps snakes, lizards and tortoises in a heated indoor room with keeper talks scheduled through the day, and children can get closer than they would at a zoo. The pond walk is a slow loop past ducks, geese and reed beds with an information trail on wetland species. The Dinosaur Roar discovery trail is a self-guided walk based on the Peter Curtis and Jeanne Willis picture-book series, with life-sized model dinosaurs and fact boards suited to Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2. Godstone runs a proper peak/off-peak model, and the gap between the two is significant. Off-peak is termtime weekdays. Peak covers weekends, school holidays and bank holidays.

Two things to note. First, everyone over the age of one pays roughly the same rate. There is no separate adult ticket at Godstone, so a party of one adult and two children pays three peak tickets. Getting to Godstone Farm from across Surrey

Godstone Farm is in East Surrey, three minutes from junction 6 of the M25. That location is the single biggest factor in whether it is worth the trip.

From RH8 (Oxted) and RH1 (Redhill), it is 10 to 15 minutes on quiet roads. This is Godstone's home patch, and if you live here it is almost certainly your closest big family farm.

From KT10 (Esher) and the north Surrey towns, allow 25 to 35 minutes via the A3 and M25. Fine on a Saturday morning if you leave early. Bocketts Farm at KT22 9BS is closer for you and covers similar ground.

From GU1 (Guildford) and GU21 (Woking), allow 40 to 50 minutes via the A3 and M25 anticlockwise. It is doable, and worth it for the soft play barn on a rainy day, but honestly Bocketts is closer and does most of the same job. West Surrey families we know tend to save Godstone for a specific reason: a birthday, a Halloween event, or because Bocketts is fully booked.

From GU9 (Farnham) and GU27 (Haslemere), allow an hour or more. At that distance the drive alone eats the morning, and unless there is a Godstone-specific pull, Bocketts, Hobbledown or Birdworld are usually the more sensible calls.

If you are travelling by train, Godstone station is a fifteen-minute walk from the farm along country lanes. Most families drive.

Godstone is the biggest of the four in terms of covered play. If it rains, the Play Barn alone is a full day's activity. Bocketts wins on hands-on animal contact. Priory Farm's Discovery Land is completely outdoor and much cheaper, aimed at pre-school and early primary; the farm shop and cafe alongside are the reason many families visit at all. Halloween 2026

Halloween runs from Saturday 17 October to Sunday 1 November 2026, 10am to 4.45pm daily. The event includes a monster NERF shootout, creepy crafts, a quiz trail, reptile and creepy-crawly encounters, plus full access to the whole farm, soft play, playgrounds and animal areas. Ticket prices are the standard peak rate: £19.95 for age 2 to 15 and for adults, £9.95 for one-year-olds, free for under-1s, and free for a carer accompanying a disabled child. Pumpkin carving is a £4.50 add-on and marshmallow toasting is £3.50. Father Christmas 2026

Father Christmas runs over the last two weekends of November, every weekend in December, then daily from 18 to 24 December 2026. Daytime tickets include a personal meeting with Father Christmas in his cabin, a wrapped gift, the Wish Room, a Christmas show, cookie decorating and craft activities, plus full farm and Play Barn access all day. Birthday parties at Godstone Farm

Godstone runs private birthday parties in a dedicated Party Barn with a two-hour hire and all-day farm entry included for the party children and one adult per child. Two adults are free for the birthday child.

Off-peak (termtime weekdays) is £27.95 per child. Peak (weekends, school holidays) is £30.95 per child. Minimum 10 children, all aged one and over. Hot picnic-box lunches are included, along with a gift for the birthday child and a return-visit offer for guests.

Extra adults beyond the free allocation are £13 off-peak or £16 peak. There is a £2 per child upgrade for a soft-play mezzanine, and animal feed bags are £2 each. The whole thing is paid upfront at least 10 days before the party, and tickets are non-refundable.

Accessibility, food, parking and practical detail

Parking is free and on-site. The car park closes at 5pm sharp, which catches people out on summer weekends when the extended opening runs to 5.45pm. You can stay in the Play Barn until close but you cannot go back to the car after 5pm.

Food. You are welcome to bring a picnic, but you must eat it in the picnic areas outside, not in the Play Barn cafe or Courtyard Kitchen. The Play Barn cafe serves hot and cold food every day. The Courtyard Kitchen does drinks and cakes on weekdays and full food at weekends. There is a seasonal Top Shop when the site is busy.

Accessibility. Godstone is wheelchair accessible but honest about its limits. Some paths are uneven, and it is a working farm on green-belt land. There are disabled toilets throughout the site and an accredited Changing Places toilet in the Play Barn. Free carer tickets are available with proof of the disabled child's benefit or blue badge.

Dogs. No dogs allowed except registered assistance dogs. Emotional-support animals are not covered under this policy.

Weather. The farm stays open in rain, and tickets are non-refundable regardless. If the forecast is bad, pack wellies and coats. The Play Barn keeps you covered indoors, and there are undercover eating areas around the site.
